Nice week skiing in lech austria. Snowfinches, alpine accentor, 3 toed woodpecker and bearded vulture were highlights

Nice day at blashford, with a few distant goosanders. Large flocks of thrushes and finches. A few tufted, wigeon ducks as well. Large numbers of shoveler.No sign of black necked grebe which was seen yesterday.

Had a new patch record with a fem stonechat. A large influx of song thrushes and lapwing flock building up. Also about 7 shoveler. But generally a bit quiet

Stopped at titchfield haven to find it closed! Still found a flock of 9 ringed plover and some dunlin.

A nice day at blashford lakes, with a bittern and 2 brambling

Farlington marshes

Today i saw a red breasted goose at farlington marshes. Also i saw a ringed plover. other highlights are; pintail, dunlin, large amounts of brent geese

RSPB Salthome

I had an excellent few days at salthome. large amounts of thrushes were moving through. Pink-footed and barnacle geese were some of the geese i saw. Sadly i missed the whooper swans which had been seen. I also didn't see  the waxwing seen in area. The best sighting was definitely 3 long-eared owl very expertly camouflaged. i saw: pintail, chiffchaff and crossbills.

had a great day in the new forest with several stonechats and fieldfares. I went to hampton ridge, which was a beautiful place;highlights include stonechat, fieldfares, meadow pipit and ravens
